Jeremy Youmans (jyoumans@nwacc.edu , NWACC’s Director of International Programs) and I have worked together on the NWACC in ITALY program for the last two years and it has been a good, productive relationship. He and I have visited about the possibility of this new role for me and he believes it would be good for all the travel ed program and for NWACC.

I believe this additional face-to-face promotion between NWACC and the organizations and schools of the NWA community will enhance our standing in our community as we promote our global programs.

DUTIES OF THE DIRECTOR
- Set up and maintain a website for NWACC’s educational abroad and educational travel offerings much like the sites I set up for www.NWACCinITALY.com and www.TenDaysInTuscany.fish . (subject to NWACC PR approvals, of course)
- Create and publish Youtube video’s promoting NWACC global studies—Greece, Thailand, Germany, Haiti, Italy, etc.
- Contact local and regional TV and radio programs including KUAF to secure public service air time to promote NWACC’s global educational offerings.
- Contact local and area civic clubs Lions, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, etc.—and ask to be a guest speaker to promote our various global programs.
- Contact area colleges—UA, John Brown, UA Ft. Smith—and visit their classes to promote our global studies programs.
- During the course of a year—Fall through Spring—visit a minimum of 30 civic clubs, colleges, and high schools as guest speaker to promote NWACC’s global studies.
- During the course of a year visit a minimum of 12 NWACC classes to promote our international program.
- During the course of a year release, through NWACC PR, a minimum of 8 articles (w/photos when possible) about NWACC’s studies abroad.
- Set up and maintain a Facebook page for our combined studies abroad programs (much like my FB pages for NWACC in ITALY and Ten Days in Tuscany).
- For all the promotional visits—civic clubs, university/colleges/high schools, NWACC classes, I will provide and promote easy access to web info.
- For all the promotional visits I will personally produce and distribute paper printed handouts, brochures, etc.
- Print NWACC Studies Abroad posters and send to area high schools (also would a good general promotion for NWACC).
- Assist Jeremy Youmans promote the global program within the NWACC community by assisting him with NWACC publicity—posters, plan/host info events, etc.
- Assist NWACC Studies traveling faculty in planning their educational destinations.
- Promote travel programs sponsored by the NWACC Foundation.
ACCOUNTABILITY
- At the end of each year period (end of Spring semester), provide a log of promotional events including dates and locations of civic clubs, colleges, high schools, NWACC promotional visits, etc,
- Provide a list of all web work, news releases/articles, Youtubes, posters and printed promotional handouts
COMPENSATION
- Compensation for all mentioned above: 2 course overloads
- Compensation for travel/gas/travel expenses/internet web cost/ handout/posters production, etc.: 1 course overload
- Total Compensation for all: 3 course overload.

- Professor of Music, NWACC for 20+ years
- Known in the NWA community as a travel leader (see tour history at NWACCinITALY.com)
- Since 2001 I’ve spent 1/4 of each year in Europe living, teaching, researching
- Been affiliated with three different college international schools in Siena, Italy
- Non-music skills include public speaking and writing (my first major from the U of A was Communications/Journalism where I was the editor of the college literary magazine
- Skilled at graphic design for print and web
- Skilled at travel photography (two published photography books at iBooks)
- Founder/Advisor NWACC in ITALY
- Promotor/Planner/Guide for NWACC Foundation’s Ten Days in Tuscany 2018 (raised $4,000 for Studies Abroad scholarships.
